PostSubject: Elementalist Church   Mon Jun 29, 2015 12:37 pm

First topic message reminder :

A small church managed by two sisters, it worships the four Prime Dragons as gods, in a similar manner to the High Temple of Montilles.
Kept immaculately clean by the younger sister, what it lacks in extravagance it makes up for in tidiness.
It's modeled after the typical church, with a simple glass mural over the entryway and one over the pulpit, depicting in each a single colorless dragon(there wasn't enough resources for four in each) in a regal pose.
The church serves as the living quarters for the two sisters, but it also seems to serve as an impromptu library, holding several shelves of various fictions and books of religion along the walls.
Some local legends say that the church itself is protected by a dragon, but this tale mostly survives in the hearts of children, abandoned long before they become adults.
The front doors are always unlocked, no matter what.

She continues smiling at them, not really having much to add onto that.

"Sounds interesting. Jipangu certainly has its fair share of draconic deities as well." Kaze adds after a moment.

"I've read about a few of them. The deities, that is. Some were mentined in herblore. Four is a number of balance in this case, correct?"

"Yes, there are four Prime Dragons, and accordingly four elements that comprise our world: Fire, water, wind, and earth. I would also like to hear of the deities of your nation, if it isn't too much trouble."

"Not at all. Now where should I begin...? In a sense, our deities are much the same as yours, in representing the various elements that shape the world. However, we have many smaller deities representing multiple aspects of those elements."

"I see... Then, there are deities for water, ice, and vapor, not simply water? As an example, that is."

"Correct. And there are even more besides that for just water. Some minor deities take on a few roles at once, but for the most part they are all separate, yet also connected to each other."

"If I recall correctly, there are also those whose affinity lies outside the earth/water/fire/wind classification."

"Yes, I believe that is true here as well. I have once heard of dragons of light in stories. But from what I understand, our deities are not quite as interconnected as yours sound."

"Fascinating how different these beliefs are, despite both involving draconic deities..." Kaze notes.

"When did the Elementalist belief system become prevalent?"

"Well, I will say that 'prevalent' is fairly generous, but presumably many thousands of years ago when the mountain city Montilles was founded by the grilod otherkin race."

"Essentially a crocodilian otherkin species. However, they believe themselves descended from dragons, or at least once did, and like narugans, stand separately from the otherkin label. But they are both still otherkin, just... prideful, I suppose."

"Fascinating... They're not quite as common back home, mostly since they tend to stick to their own tribes and settlements away from most of the rest of us. Occasionally you'll see one wandering around a marketplace, almost looking lost."
