Yes, Fallout 4 has inspired at least one idea for a character. So if you haven't seen Nick Valentine in the game yet or don't even have the game and don't want anything spoiled for when you do play the game/watch a let's play, do not read the rest of this post. If you feel that strongly about it, drop a post down below saying you don't want the character made until you meet him in the game yourself. You prolly don't want to read any of the other posts in the topic either. Just drop your own post and don't look back.

So with that spoiler warning out of the way, let's get into the man himself. Meet Nick Valentine.

Spoiler:

In Fallout 4, Nick is a synthetic man who believes himself to be a failed prototype, hence the exposed metal parts. In Adonia, I think the closest thing we have to a synth would be a Homunculus. Or the purely magical derivative race that Syntax falls under. If Nick were to work, I was thinking he could be somewhere in between. Perhaps Nick could be a failed prototype Homunculus that gained a measure of sentience? The reason I'm putting this idea here is because due to the very nature of Fallout, I was thinking maybe Nick is too science fictiony to work in our fantasy setting. I'll leave it up to the rest of you if that's the case. Or if the idea itself doesn't work for another reason. Either way, just a thought I've been throwing around in my head since I first saw the man. Er, synth.

I don't think his personality would fit with other things but synths are too scifi

Fair enough, which is why I asked in the first place.

There's not a lot that's too sciencefictiony in this world of magitech. I can see this guy working and here's a thought-
What if this guy was old?
Like, relic of an ancient civilization old?
Could explain the beating-up-ness
And I could see the prototype slant working pretty well, especially if it was like
The kinda failed that scrapped the project which would explain a lack of similars

That would work very well with what I had planned for the guy actually. Though Rid doesn't seem convinced that the idea could work for a few reasons.
