I doubt he requires any real introduction as to his appearance, but here's a picture anyway.

This Dusknoir suddenly appeared in Adonia one day with no memory of who he was or where he came from. All he remembers is that he used to have a master, but has no idea who that could possibly be. Meanwhile he's been receiving transmissions from the antenna on his head, commanding him to guide lost souls to the spirit world. He's found new purpose in this "life" by doing just that. He wanders the world of Adonia searching for lost spirits to put at peace and guide home. At times he may also save living people from being sent to the spirit world, as it is "not their time". His intimidating appearance may lead to misunderstandings, but he's actually a kind soul looking to do the right thing.

I see no ISSUE with this (other than obvious Pokemon watness), but it also seems like we don't have enough dying folk for him to serve that purpose.

It's more the unorthodoxy of the idea and potential difficulties giving him enough to do, rather than any problems with the idea. I think it's a fine idea, but it might be kinda hard to implement it in actual writing.

Well I'll keep this one on the backburner in the event we do find a use for him. I figured he'd just work as a character with a reason to roam around the world and interact with anyone that bumped into him and he'd just fill his role offscreen, but could do it onscreen if and when the situation calls for it. So far even Zerdark only does his job offscreen. He hasn't really been doing much in the way of assassination.

It's not that I hate it really, it's more of a combination of still being leery about outsiders from Cipher (as I assume that is what you are implying), but mostly that Outsiders aren't likely to get their memories back so you could probably fill the same purpose with one that isn't an outsider.

Well he could be like Wheatley in that he's a spirit with no memories. Wheatley isn't an outsider. I don't think personality sphere robot can turn into a spirit. Unless you want to delve into a lot of philosophical nonsense which I really don't. So pretty much both can simply have no memories from the spirit world.

Original plan was for that, all I'm saying is that it is very flexible in that it doesn't have to be that. The second explanation is just as valid since either way, he would never find his master. Whether it be from Cipher or a master in the Spirit World or a master on the mortal plane makes no difference.

I basically agree with Yikkin in the sense of not minding the idea but feeling it would be kinda hard to write in practice since we barely actually kill relevant people off. It can work but it'd be tricky.

Also when I first saw this topic I thought for a second this would be Mystery Dungeon Dusknoir :0

Well as I said, his "occupation" would mostly be background since it is so tricky. It's more a reason for him to be all over the place than to actually serve a function of him guiding relevant characters to the next world. He could guide one off irrelevant characters from time to time, but even I doubt he'd really serve his function for relevant characters. Though he could guide them out of dangerous places since he serves a second function we've been overlooking.

Also I don't know how Mystery Dungeon Dusknoir would work. He'd be cool, but I don't know how he'd work. If you want to see him instead I can try, but again, not sure how he'd work.

Yeah though I don't have problems with a dusknoir even with the pokedex accuracy I am more concerned with the other part.

So it wasn't an OMGNOTHISISHORRIBLE

Cuz I am doing some pokemans who are pokedex accurate in certain ways too.

If you can find a good person version we can do that too tho, cuz those are still happening Surprised it will be revealed a bit sometime soon
